Cuttack-A boys lift under-19 inter-district trophy

Cuttack A won the OCA Under-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament, beating Bhubaneswar A by 59 runs on the last day of the four-day final at Sunshine ground here today. Former India all-rounder Sanjay Raul handed over the trophy in the presence of Odisha Cricket Association secretary Asirbad Behera.

In the semifinals, Bhubaneswar-A beat Cuttack-B by seven wickets, while Cuttack-A crushed Jajpur by an innings and 84 runs. Earlier Cuttack-A, Cuttack-B, Bhubaneswar-A and Jajpur reached the last-four stage after completion of 12 super league matches, which were held from February 5 to 10. Before that, Jajpur, Rourkela, Bargarh, KIIT, Sundargarh, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Nayagarh qualified for the super league by emerging respective group toppers after completion of 48 preliminary league matches, which were held from January 24 to February 3.

They were joined by seeded teams Cuttack-A, Cuttack-B, Bhubaneswar-A and Puri, who were given direct entry to the super league as they had reached semifinals last year. Following are the results:
